Additional Details

 Both of the vehicles were newer models we restored in March 2008.   The VW customer attempted to fix the lamps with a highspeed buffer and rubbing compound but, it did not work.

 The Crossfire was a 2005 model where the clear on the lamps is deteriorating and damaging the plastic underneath.  With routine maintenace the lamps are now great for years to come.

 We recently restored a pair of lamps for a Jeep Cherokee.  The owner took the car to a car wash for what he described as a chemical treatment.  DO NOT DO THIS!    The chemicals made his lamps worse and did not fix the damage to the lamps.  His lamps essentially the same before and after as the VW above.
